Savannah, GA

The Olde Pink House

  • This is the most historic restaurant in Savannah- a must do when you are in town! This is some good southern eats and a history lesson from a hot local spot for sure. I really enjoyed the “southern sushi” (smoked shrimp and grits rolled into coconut crusted nori) and the crispy scored flounder. If you are coming to Savannah, you need to make your reservation early! Emily’s parents made ours 6 weeks in advance.

Alligator Soul

  • This is a nice place downtown for a great southern meal. Here, I tried alligator mac and cheese. With the name of the restaurant, I felt like I needed to try some alligator, and it was great- tastes just like chicken!

The Grove Savannah

  • This seemed to be a hot spot for bachelorette party brunches downtown. We sat at the bar and enjoyed these huge moscow mules with a million fun straws in them to begin our bar crawl. This was a sleek, trendy, and bright vibe of an establishment.

The Bohemian

  • One night after dinner when we weren’t quite ready to call it quits yet, we headed to the roof at the Bohemian Hotel for one last drink. This had a great view of the Talmadge Memorial Bridge.

Somewhere I want to try in the future: Mrs. Wilkes. This is a spot recommended to me by Emily’s Parents who own property in Savannah, and they said this is a foodie’s must try. There is no menu and they just serve you traditional food of whatever they make that day.
