Pasta Beach

  • There are a couple Pasta Beach locations throughout Rhode Island, as well as one in Boston. I loved this place - great vibes, great cocktails, and huge pasta portions (sounds like my heaven). I got a delicious carbonara, and I think I may make the trip back to Rhode Island just to stop by here again.

Diego’s

  • When I came to Newport, I had only stopped here for a margarita before dinner but I heard that the Mexican food is great here too. As a sucker for Mexican food, this is another stop I would hit when I return to newport. There are a couple levels, and there is a bar area on the top level that would be good for post dinner drinks as well.

22 Bowen’s Wine Bar & Grille

  • This was a great, white table cloth spot for seafood and steak right in the Marina. The place is huge and has two levels, so it should be a little easier to get a reservation. It also seems like a good spot for bigger groups and families to come with kids. My favorite thing here was the truffle mac and cheese.

Castle Hill Inn

  • Castle Hill Inn is a bit of a ways away from the main downtown area in Newport, but it is definitely worth a visit because it is absolutely gorgeous. It is also a smaller hotel, so you could stay here if you want more of a bed and breakfast type of trip. I came here for brunch in the fall and sat outside right on the water with a beautiful view. This is the type of place that is so beautiful that there are usually 3 weddings going on at once at this establishment.
