Sally’s
The only time I have ever actually been to Connecticut is passing through on my way to Newport, Rhode Island. When this opportunity rose, I knew it was time to try some New Haven pizza. I have heard that usually Sally’s had a huge line but we walked in no problem and sat at benches outside. This was during covid time, which could also be why it was not that crowded. You could purchase craft beers by the can outside from the sand as well. From the first bite, I was not blown away. But- as I kept eating I realized the pizza was really freakin good. We did half plain and half spicy chicken and peppers (as recommended by one of the workers). I know there are tons of other great pizza spots in New Haven, so I would love to come back to this area for a pizza tour one day and get to try them all.
