Miami, FL

Komodo

  • A must when coming here is getting the pikachu drink (818 blanco tequila, yuzu, wasabi, honey). I had high expectations for the food here, and it definitely delivered. In my mind, it is rivaling Nobu... and it may be winning. I loved the lobster crispy rice and the wagyu dumplings. I loved it here and would 10000% come back. I also thought the music was great and so it would be perfect for a bday party or a big group dinner!

Watr - 1Hotel

  • This is such a vibey roof to come to for cocktails before a night out. It feels like you are in Tulum up there- or just in another country in general. If I was to stay at a hotel in Miami, I would definitely choose here.

Carbone Miami

  • I love Carbone in New York and Vegas, so I was super happy to check out the Miami location. It is definitely a celeb hot spot as there are paparazzi that wait outside the front doors. This time around, we shared an unreal cheesecake, so from now on I need to remember to be saving room for dessert at this establishment.

Il Mulino

  • This was such a nice dinner outside in the Acqualina Hotel in Sunny Isles. I had been to the Il Mulino in NYC a really long time ago, so I felt like I was going in here with a fresh mind. Our meal was amazing here, but our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs. Right away you are seated and handed a choice of breads, fresh parmigiana, salumi, bruschetta, and fried zucchini. So by the time we finished these apps, we were so full (rookie mistake). For wine, we had a barbaresco - which was perfect with the meatballs! The staff was so gracious here and I would definitely come back for another date night.

Jaya at the Setai

  • This place was a scene for sure - with shows going every 30 minutes and blasting music - it was definitely more of a party dinner. The food was good too, but it was not anything to write home about. You definitely come here for the fun ambiance and the belly dancers/entertainment.

Avra

  • I was super excited to come here in Sunny Isles because I have been to two of the locations in New York and LOVE it. This place had a great indoor/outdoor vibe with flowers all throughout the restaurant. 🌸 I also highly recommend pairing a good glass of Assyrtiko with your Mediterranean meal! You definitely need to order their signature fried zucchini chips stack. This place is always reliable for a great Greek meal. Next on the list is to hit up the original Beverly Hills location to complete the trifecta of Avra locations!

I still have a whole list of places I want to still go to in Miami - so there will definitely be more to come here!
