Jack and Charlie's 118
Finally knocked a "to-do" off our hit list that has been up there for awhile - Jack and Charlies 118 in the west village! We loved the dimmed, cozy ambiance- but the food was really the draw here. We had taken a cooking class by Chef Ed Cotton last year, so we were extra appreciative to understand the magic behind the dishes.
Pictured here is the famous duck "meatloaf" - basically a big duck meatball and was amazing. They are also known for their prime rib. We enjoyed the soft pretzel bites with mustard butter (amazing and the "near and far": mezcal, tequila blanco, chili, pineapple, lemon.
I loved it here and would love to come back for a romantic date night! My only regret is we all went out after this dinner, but if I came on a sunday instead- I would have definitely indulged a little bit more.
