Carbone

Carbone

The big question on everyone’s mind: Is Carbone really worth the hype? This exclusive spot in Manhattan’s West Village is notoriously the hardest place to get into (maybe besides Rao’s in Harlem). With tons of classics: spicy rigatoni, beef carpaccio, caesar salad, lobster ravioli, fresh focaccia bread, and more- it is the ideal Sunday Dinner spot. Once we stepped inside the NYC location, we soon understood why it is so hard to get in.. the place is very hole in the wall vibes. It is definitely loud in there, which is to be expected. There is a small room in the front and a small room in the back. With lower ceilings, the candlelit ambiance definitely sets the mood. More important than the vibe was the top notch food paired with top notch service. Whether you’re a celeb or not, you definitely feel like one with how attentive the staff is. Throughout the meal you are also given extras such as: salumi, three different types of bread (this constantly changes what kind), cheese, and seven layer cookies to end. Our best suggestion to get a reservation here is to start networking. Call your friend of a friend and ask around to see who knows a guy! Sometimes you do get lucky for an afternoon reservation for lunch on a weekend.
