Bahamas - Baha Mar

Bahamas - Baha Mar

Although Atlantis has a really special place in our hearts, Baha Mar’s restaurants blew Paradise Island’s out of the water. This is definitely the resort choice if you are looking for really good food. Because it rained almost the entire time that we were there, we got the chance to hit some of these restaurants not only once but TWICE.

Katsuya

  • Katsuya has a couple locations (including New York), but I have only actually been to this one in Baha Mar. They are known for having amazing crispy rice, and I can confirm it is good (but not better than Bondst). The real star of the show was the wagyu fried rice that was OFF THE CHARTS good.

Cafe Boulud

  • A Daniel Boulud restaurant always delivers. This was no exception. Cafe Boulud had amazing decor and amazing dishes. This would probably be the “highest end” of the restaurants in Baha Mar. It is described as French cuisine with a Bahamian twist.

Costa

  • This was a great place; we actually went twice for lunch. They have awesome ceviche and fish tacos. They also have an extensive tequila list if you are looking to get adventurous! Outdoor and indoor seating here.

Marcus at Baha Mar, Fish + Chophouse

  • This was a favorite of the group out of all the restaurants we visited throughout the trip. We went here for both lunch one day, and dinner another night. This is traditional Bahamian food. I got the catch of the day, and I loved the seafood fried rice that was for the table.

DAQS

  • This is a little stand/bar where you can get all different flavors of huge daiquiris in pineapples. You can also make your choice of rum or tequila. We got one strawberry with tequila, and one watermelon with rum!
