Avra

Avra

I would say that Avra is the perfect midway between the party vibe of Kyma and the higher end /white table cloth vibe of Milos. The midtown location is more boujee (not surprised there is a Beverly Hills location) and always a packed scene- even on weeknights. Seems like it is also a big spot for business lunches and dinners, which is probably why they opened up a Rockefeller Center location this summer. I have had different experiences at each location- the Midtown one is more scene-y with lower ceilings and a small bar, whereas the Rockefeller Center is high ceilings and bright. We love the “Avra chips” as many do. A Must Try: ending the night with their Greek Yogurt Parfait dessert- the best yogurt I’ve ever had period (until we visit Greece this summer of course). Our only note was that the most recent time we went, there was no warm soft pita, which is personally what I look forward to the most when coming to A Greek restaurant. There was more of a crunch pita chip to use for your dips.
